Otto Stern (actor)

Otto Stern (born December 14, 1921 in Basel , † July 5, 1996 in Munich ) was a Swiss actor and voice actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, he received acting lessons from Heinrich George in Berlin. He could only begin his career after the end of the Second World War, when he appeared in 1949 under Fritz Rémond junior at the Kleiner Theater am Zoo in Frankfurt. He stayed there until 1964, and from 1955 to 1964 he was also engaged in the comedy at the Marquardt in Stuttgart. From 1968 to 1977 he worked at the Kleine Komödie in Munich, guest appearances took him to Zurich, Hamburg and Cologne. In 1987 he returned to Frankfurt.

Otto Stern has appeared in more than 40 feature films and 60 television and radio play productions. He took on a wide variety of roles, mostly he played respected personalities, but occasionally also villains like in The Dog of Blackwood Castle . From 1984 he parodied Chancellor Helmut Kohl at the Salvator tap on Munich's Nockherberg .

Otto Stern was buried in the Oberföhring church cemetery in Munich .
