Seven Days Deadline is a German crime film by director Alfred Vohrer from 1969. It was based on the novel Seven Days Deadline for Schramm by Paul Henricks .
content
Mysterious events in a North German boarding school : students secretly go out at night until the student Kurrat suddenly disappears without a trace. A short time later, the teacher Stallmann and Kurrat's father also disappear without a trace. All events were triggered by a slap in the face that the teacher Fromm gave the student Kurrat.
After some of those who disappeared without a trace are found murdered, the callous inspector Klevenow is able to solve the case. The real reasons for the crimes go back well in the past.
production
Seven days is the first film that Alfred Vohrer made for Luggi Waldleitner's Roxy Film after Vohrer directed 14 Edgar Wallace films for Horst Wendlandt's Rialto Film . The film was the seventh and last joint film by Joachim Fuchsberger and Alfred Vohrer. It is a prototypical example of Alfred Vohrer's directorial style: moving camera, fast zooms, staging “meaning” in the scenes.
The shooting took place from January 12th to March 25th, 1969 in Studio Bendestorf and in Schleswig-Holstein. Plön Castle served as a boarding school , other scenes were filmed on the beach in Sankt Peter-Ording . The premiere of the film took place on April 3, 1969 in the Metro cinema in the Kieler Schloßhof.
criticism
The lexicon of international film described the seven-day deadline as "an awkwardly constructed crime thriller under the experienced direction of Vohrers, who focused on the most fashionable film attributes possible."
