criticism

"The attempt to clarify human positions in West German post-war society is drowned out in the mixture of crime, triviality , horror and colportage , as is the claim to design the brotherly drama as a parable for the brotherhood of mankind manifested in war and violence." Film lexicon

“Only the acting performance of some of the actors makes the whole thing bearable at times. Directional ideas meager, the rest quite silly. “- omnilink kino

"The solidly built film, which is not stingy with trivial moods, hesitantly untangles the entanglements in Simmel's original." (Rating: 2 stars = average) - Adolf Heinzlmeier and Berndt Schulz in the lexicon "Films on TV"

Award

The film was awarded the Gold Film Band in 1973 in the “Performing Achievements” category. The award winner was Klaus Schwarzkopf.
