Heinz Baumann

Heinz Baumann (born February 12, 1928 in Oldenburg ) is a German actor .

life and career

At the beginning of his acting career, Baumann was mainly active on the theater stage. He became known to a wide audience in 1960 for his role as Martin Hartog in the comedy film Das Spukschloß im Spessart , alongside Liselotte Pulver . Further film and television productions quickly made him a fixture in the media landscape. He was seen in Simmel films such as And Jimmy went to the rainbow (1971), All people are brothers (1973) and The answer only the wind knows (1974), he had other screen appearances in Peter Zadek's Ich bin ein Elefant, Madame (1969 ), Günter Gräwerts The Gardener of Toulouse (1982) and Peter Wecks Diebinnen (1996). Between 1955 and 1971 he was also employed several times as a voice actor.

In addition to several Tatort productions, he also played in the second season of the Karl May television series Kara Ben Nemsi Effendi (1975) and played the leading role in the six-part crime series Lobster ( ARD , 1976) by Hans W. Geißendörfer . In 1976 he played the role of Hessian Colonel Rall in the three-part television play by Fritz Umgelter The Winter, which was a Summer, based on the novel of the same name by Sandra Paretti . Baumann's fame continued to grow through the TV series SOKO 5113 , in which he played Chief Inspector Jürgen Sudmann between 1987 and 1997. After leaving there, Sudmann continued to investigate as a private detective in the Solo branch for Sudmann . In 2008 he had another guest appearance in the 90-minute special on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of SOKO 5113 ( The Göttmann Files ) .

The greatest success brought him the comedic crime series Adelheid and their murderers , which was produced from 1992 to 2006. Here he appeared as chief inspector Ewald Strobel alongside Evelyn Hamann , Tilo Prückner and Gisela May .

Personal

Heinz Baumann was married to actress Gardy Brombacher for 40 years until her death in 2003 . He has a daughter, Judith Richter , from a relationship with Beatrice Richter . Baumann lives with his partner in Munich- Schwabing .
