Wehner - the untold story is a two-part docu-drama by Heinrich Breloer from 1993. It tells of important stages in the life of the politician Herbert Wehner in replayed scenes, historical recordings and interview excerpts with contemporary witnesses .

The first part of the two-part film, Die Nacht von Münstereifel , mainly describes the political life and work of Wehner and other important political mandate holders such as Willy Brandt , Rainer Barzel and Helmut Schmidt in the 1960s and 1970s, in particular Wehner's role and conflicts in connection with it the resignation of Willy Brandt as Federal Chancellor .
