Esther Hausmann
Esther Hausmann (* 1959 in Hamburg ) is a German actress and radio play speaker .
Life
Esther Hausmann studied acting at the universities of music and performing arts in Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main . Numerous engagements have taken her to well-known German theaters such as the Theater am Goetheplatz in Bremen, the Hamburg Thalia Theater , the Residenztheater in Munich, the Theater Oberhausen , the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt and several times the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf . Hausmann played the title role in Antigone by Sophocles , was Juliet in William Shakespeare's drama Romeo and Juliet , Luise in Friedrich Schiller's Cabal and Love , embodied Solveig in Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen or Anna Petrovna in Anton Chekhov's Platonov .
After Hausmann had already taught at the acting school in Munich and had been a lecturer in the drama course at Essen's Folkwang University of the Arts since 2008 , she took up a professorship there in 2010 in the field of "practical theater work".
From the mid-1980s to the beginning of the 2000s, Hausmann often worked in front of the camera, in particular several times in the crime series Derrick and Der Alte , but especially in the television series The Fallers , in which she played the role of Mechthild Kramer in over 300 episodes .
