Hans-Michael Rehberg
Hans-Michael Rehberg (born April 2, 1938 in Fürstenwalde / Spree ; † November 7, 2017 in Berlin ) was a German actor and director .
Life
education
Hans-Michael Rehberg was one of six children of the writer Hans Rehberg and his wife Maria Ohly. He grew up in Brandenburg, Silesia, on Lake Starnberg and in Duisburg. After dropping out of school, he began his acting training at the Folkwang School in Essen.
successes
From then on, a fast and successful career began with numerous engagements at many German theaters, but also at the Vienna Burgtheater and the Salzburg Festival . At the age of 25 he became a member of the ensemble at the Bavarian State Theater and at 30 he was nominated as a Bavarian State Actor . Three years later he premiered as a director at the Munich Residenztheater and another two years later he worked as a director and actor at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg.
Rehberg was just as active in the serious subject as in comedy. From 2003 he played Bishop Hemmelrath in the ARD series Pfarrer Braun . In 2004 he was seen as Rogul in the successful movie comedy (T) Raumschiff Surprise . With Der Totmacher , Schindler's List and Die Manns he celebrated successes in the serious subject.
Theater career
Numerous engagements made Rehberg an important German actor on the German theater stages. His path led through the municipal theaters of Krefeld-Mönchengladbach , Vienna Burgtheater , Thalia Theater Hamburg , Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg , Freie Volksbühne Berlin , Schauspielhaus Zürich , Kammerspiele Munich , Residenztheater Munich , Munich Volkstheater , Württembergisches Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Salzburg Festival .
Rehberg worked with the directors Heinz Hilpert , Karl-Heinz Stroux , Axel von Ambesser , Peter Zadek , Ingmar Bergman , Franz Xaver Kroetz , Dieter Giesing , Michael Haneke , Luc Bondy , Hans Lietzau , Peter Stein , Claus Peymann and, most recently, a lot with Andrea Breth .
Death and grave
Hans-Michael Rehberg died on November 7, 2017 at the age of 79 in Berlin. His grave is in the state-owned cemetery Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend .
