Reviews
- Lexicon of international film: The cautious and emotive biography of a woman focuses less on historical completeness and rather approaches the personal inner motives for political action. Sensitive in staging, play and photography, the film is convincing in terms of content as a reflection on moral courage, incorruptible political morality and the courage to think utopian.
History of origin
Originally Rosa Luxemburg was supposed to be realized by Rainer Werner Fassbinder , who however died in June 1982. Fassbinder wanted to cast the main role with Jane Fonda , who had already accepted.
