Doris Schade

Doris Schade (born May 21, 1924 in Frankenhausen ; † June 25, 2012 in Munich ) was a German actress .

Life

Born in Thuringia as the daughter of the engineer and director of Junkers Luftverkehr AG , Eugen Herbert Schade, she grew up in Moscow and Tokyo . From 1942 to 1944 she received acting training at the Alten Theater Leipzig . She made her debut in 1946 as Luise in Kabale und Liebe at the Städtische Bühnen Osnabrück .

Thereafter, Irina Doris Schade received permanent engagements at the stages of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (1947 to 1949), at the Nuremberg Municipal Theaters (1949 to 1954) and at the Frankfurt am Main Municipal Theaters (1954 to 1961). From 1961 to 1972 she was engaged in the ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele and from 1972 to 1977 in the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. In 1975 she also made several guest appearances at the Stuttgart State Theater , the Schauspielhaus Cologne and Düsseldorf and the Burgtheater in Vienna as well as at the Salzburg Festival .

From 1977 she was again a member of the permanent ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele. She worked on stage with directors such as Fritz Kortner , Hans Lietzau , Peter Zadek , Dieter Dorn , Ernst Wendt , Christian Stückl and Claus Peymann .

As a busy theater actress, Doris Schade was also often seen on television. Initially in recorded theater productions such as Die Sehnsucht der Veronika Voss by Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Jenseits der Stille by director Caroline Link , later she took part in well-known television games and series such as Derrick and Tatort . In 1981 she got her first role in a movie in Margarethe von Trotta's Die Bleierne Zeit . She also worked in Heller Wahn (1982), in Rosa Luxemburg (1985), where she played Clara Zetkin , and in Rosenstrasse (2003), under von Trotta's direction. She also became popular as Grandma Slättberg in the children's films Die Wilden Hühner (2006), Die Wilden Hühner und die Liebe (2007) and Die Wilden Hühner und das Leben (2009).

Doris Schade was married to the actor and theater manager Heinz-Joachim Klein († 1998) and had a son. She lived in Munich.
