Heide Simon (* 1947 in Schweinfurt ) is a German actress and radio play speaker .

Life

Heide Simon grew up as an orphan with her grandmother. At the age of 8 she played Johann Gutenberg in a school production . From 1967 to 1970 she attended the Leonhardt drama school, but failed her final exam, as did her classmate Rainer Werner Fassbinder on the same day . After a play contract at a Wiesbaden private theater, Simon received his first permanent engagement at the Frankfurt Catacomb . Further engagements took her to the Landesbühne Iserlohn, to the stages of the state capital Kiel , again to the Theater am Turm in Frankfurt and later to the Frankfurt Theater . Heide Simon continued to work at the Schauspiel Stuttgart , the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the theater of the Freie Volksbühne , the Maxim-Gorki-Theater and the Komische Oper in Berlin, the Mülheimer Theater an der Ruhr , the Münchner Volkstheater and the Bavarian State Theater , the Schauspiel Essen , at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and the theaters in Bonn and Oberhausen . Simon played under well-known directors, in addition to Fassbinder these were Hermann Treusch , Dieter Pfaff , Thomas Langhoff , Christof Nel and Klaus Weise .

Heide Simon has also worked for television since 1971 and made her debut in her first two films Dealer of the Four Seasons and Martha under the direction of Rainer Werner Fassbinder. From the beginning of the 1990s, she regularly appeared in front of the camera and, in addition to roles in feature films, also had guest appearances in various series such as Der Fahnder , The Streets of Berlin , SK Kölsch , SOKO Wismar and some episodes of Tatort . In 2013, Simon took part in the Adolf Grimme Prize- winning film The Last Beautiful Day , and in 2014 she appeared in the award-winning short film The Late Bird .

Heide Simon also works extensively as a spokesperson for radio play productions for various radio stations. As a dubbing actress, she lent her colleague Dvora Halter Kedar her voice in the first two strips of the ice cream stick .

Heide Simon lives in Berlin.
