Anita Drögemöller und die Ruhe an der Ruhr is a German crime film from 1976 with Monique van de Ven in the title role. Directed by Alfred Vohrer .
action
The equally blonde, seductive and beautiful Anita Drögemöller works as a luxury prostitute in the city. Your customer base: the male high society from the Ruhr . One day she discovers a pimp in her bathroom with a broken neck. Was it an accident, drowned in alcohol? Or maybe murder after all? What role do the competing brothel owners play and what role does the jealous regular customer Anitas play? Many questions get explosive because the Vice President of the United States is in Bonn and has announced an affair with the beautiful Anita. It will be an extremely delicate job for Chief Inspector Langensiepen. Because he has to ensure that the city's most prominent suitors are not exposed while he tries to shed light on the dark milieu of prostitution, blackmail and murder. But powerful opponents seem to want to put obstacles in his way.
Anita's life stages are shown in a flashback. Before she became a call girl and slipped into the 'milieu', she had had her first lesbian experience and had to go to a correctional facility, where she was raped. Eventually she landed on the line and worked for a while as a waitress in the 'Alte Wache' pub. Her career finally got a considerable boost when the Essen native rose to be the most sought-after high-class prostitute in the region. Soon she got caught up in a maelstrom of corruption, espionage and blackmail - not to forget the dead person in the tub - and the rest of the dysentery is over.
