Paul Albert Krumm (born December 28, 1924 in Berlin , † January 2, 1990 in Düsseldorf ) was a German actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied theater studies and received acting lessons from Hilde Körber . In 1945 he made his debut at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin , to whose ensemble he belonged until 1948. Further stages of his stage career were the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf , the Landestheater Detmold , the Stage of the Youth in Berlin, the Berliner Ensemble and the Theater Vaganten Bühne Berlin.

In 1959 he worked as a theater director at the theater in the congress hall, in 1960 at the theater on Kurfürstendamm and at the Junge Theater Hamburg and in 1961 as a senior theater director at the Berlin Vaganten stage.

Since the 1960s, Krumm has made a name for himself as a television actor who has appeared repeatedly in crime series such as Das Kriminalmuseum , Der Kommissar , Der Alte and Tatort . He often embodied shady, difficult characters who have something to hide. In the three-part Babeck he played the crook Hiebler. In the horror film Jonathan he played the role of Count Dracula. In the 1970s, the actor with heart disease had to interrupt his career for a long time and retired to Tenerife and Madeira, among other places. Paul Albert Krumm died in his last apartment in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth. His grave is in Remscheid in the city cemetery.
