action

Berlin, in the early post-war period. Several friends meet every Wednesday evening in order to escape the gray everyday hustle and bustle of the city and their life together. These are the most varied characters with the most varied of fates. There is, for example, young Grita, who is gradually starting to break away from her husband Georg because he is more and more passionate about games. She finds a new love for the engineer Erik. But the young refugee girl Henny has also fallen in love with the handsome engineer. She soon goes astray and is finally thrown completely off course by the death of her mother. But at the right moment, Lorenz shows up, another man from Wednesday evening's circle of friends, who finally catches Henny. After her nervous breakdown, it is he who visits her at her sick bed. Henny now knows that he will be the love of her life.
