content

Somewhere in Germany in some big city, unnoticed by the population, an expedition spaceship from the planet Drava is stranded. There are countless so-called androids on board , human-like beings that are actually robots. These androids manage to survive the crash of their spaceship unscathed and to integrate undetected into human society. Chief agent Dandore receives the order from his headquarters and his female command officer to collect the androids and bring them back to Drava.

To this end, Dandore, in turn, takes human form, flies to Earth and rents an apartment. The equipment of this apartment always includes a transmitter (comparable to the “transporter” from spaceship Enterprise ), which, disguised as a sun bed, serves to bring the robots back to Drava unnoticed. Dandore's constant companion is the speaking flower IZ, who acts as a guardian and supports Majer (“with J in the middle!”) Alias Dandore with clever, well-intentioned advice.

In order not to attract attention and to be able to fulfill his order more easily, Dandore applies to the local police and becomes Sergeant Hans Majer. Little by little he succeeds in unmasking the androids, which have extraordinary abilities, and sends them back with the help of the transmitter. This leads to a running gag, because at the end of almost every episode due to an overvoltage caused by the transmitter, Majer's caretaker Nägelein's television implodes. Another running gag is the regular repetition of the name spelling “Majer - with J in the middle!”. In the 14th episode, Nägelein, who also happens to be the caretaker in the house where Majer finally finds his new apartment, unsuspectingly attaches a door sign with the inscription "Meier". He is accordingly astonished when Majer turns out to be a tenant.

Characters of the act

The action takes place in most of the episodes (exceptions e.g. an order takes its course or the man without color ) in the big city where Majer works as a police officer. This city, which, as evidenced by the license plates of the vehicles shown , is Munich , is called the “metropolis”. The enthusiasm that Majer's police colleagues show for “the Reds” in view of a soccer game in which Bayern Munich plays against Inter Milan also points to Munich.

Sergeant Majer / Chief Agent Dandore

Sergeant Majer is the secret identity of andro hunter Chief Agent Dandore (also called CNX 28 47 1) on Earth, which from a Dravanian perspective is a “backward class C planet”. He often gets himself into trouble and stumbles a little clumsily through everyday human life. Often only his ability to teleport, the so-called "popping", helps him out of great difficulty. All he needs to do is tug his right earlobe with his left hand to disappear and reappear at a desired location. However, Majer needs a sufficient amount of energy, otherwise travel accidents can occur. He is not averse to the female sex. He has to be careful of lipstick, as it is poisonous for him, the same applies to coffee. The antidote in both cases is mustard, which - another running gag - he eats spoonfuls.

IZ

The tiny high-performance computer that Majer wears as a flower on his lapel is a valuable assistant in his various Dravanian and earthly tasks. IZ is well informed about the manners and customs of the earthly and, unlike Majer, who lost his documents when the mission began, has information about the missing androids.

Caretaker Nägelein

Nägelein is a single man, around 60 years old, who is the caretaker in both houses that Majer lives in during the course of the series. When Majer transfers an android to the moon base at the end of an episode, Nägelein's television set explodes and the front door falls out of the frame. So every episode ends with a sooty little nail stumbling out of his smoking apartment in irritation or sitting in his TV chair with resignation.

Senior Councilor Schmidt

Majer's earthly superior has a relaxed attitude to service, which he emphatically passes on to his subordinates. He repeatedly admonished Majer not to work too much or too diligently, often praising him for trivialities and even for obvious failures. The senior councilor has a large number of board games in his office, which he often challenges Majer to play, e.g. B. Chess. Sometimes the senior councilor simply plays for himself, e.g. B. Senso or with a model railway. His cozy office also contains a collection of historic handguns and a small bar with a counter, where he occasionally serves drinks to Majer, but also to other visitors and even suspects.

Sergeant Heinmann

When the senior councilor sends Majer on particularly complex assignments, he often puts his colleague Heinmann at his side. Since the two have the same service concept, they form a harmonious, if not very efficient team.

At the meeting of the postman's union, Majer des Hund and Nägelein's fiancé managed to get hold of them. In the meantime, he escapes, but is tracked down by Majer at Jack Anderson's stuntman school.

When Majer is looking for an apartment A strange craftsman saws through a banister by hand and makes a knot in a cannon barrel. Apparently it's an android. Small stays small The toy dealer Klein is missing, but Mr. Gross, who is now behind the counter in the traditional shop, claims to have acquired the shop legally. Majer is now chasing two strange men who wear boys' clothes and school bags and speak with children's voices. One to zero for Nägelein An unexpected surge of energy helps Nägelein take heart and speak to a weather announcer he adores. Soon she is sitting in awe of the suddenly charming and atypically smartly dressed caretaker. Majer suspects that there is an android behind Nägelein's transformation.

When everyone calls babies More and more unused prams are standing around in the metropolis and endanger road safety. So while the cleaning lady records the complaints of angry mothers whose babies have been kidnapped, Majer tracks down an android who specializes in caring for small children.
The future is also being outwitted
A pearl from a messenger A courier in the city causes a lot of excitement with his strange way of handling orders. First he steals a registered letter from Nägelein that was actually intended for Majer - and then he kidnaps the tram to Portach. Meanwhile, the senior councilor has fallen in love with a beautiful stranger because of dreams and also uses the messenger's talent to send roses to his flock of roses. Majer now realizes that he is dealing with an android and teleports himself to Portach. There he meets a rural police officer who has turned the androids at the local tram stop and arrested them for kidnapping the tram. Majer takes over the prisoner and stops a transport truck with which they both drive back to the metropolis. On the way, the android recognizes Majer as the andro hunter from the television series of the same name and agrees to be transferred.
Willy Werfel continues to rage During a game of sinking ships in Majer's apartment, the senior councilor admiringly reports on a mysterious master player who went into hiding after his last spectacular victory. His plan, published in the newspaper, to want to win once in every game, feels challenged and instructs Majer to provide this man, Willy Werfel. While IZ suspects a gaming android behind this name, Werfel Majer literally stumbles in front of his feet in front of a bar. In the case of a large-scale sinking of a ship in the local swimming pool, it should now be determined who is the bigger player, senior councilor or Werfel. Here IZ ensures that Werfel is put out of action by a hiccup, which Majer uses to guide and transmit it to his apartment.
Time salad with ingredients Majer is approached by a driver in front of a betting shop who is upset about a parking ticket. When a passer-by makes a few movements in front of the angry man's face, his movements slow down. While Majer is still puzzling over the connections, the woman raids the betting office. Majer follows her trail all the way to the back and roll racing arena, where surprisingly a blatant outsider wins. Majer is lying in wait for the woman, who is a pastime android, at the betting counter and takes her to the precinct, because the councilor has set off a bomb alarm. In front of the station, Majer meets the angry motorist again, who has meanwhile radicalized himself into a bomber, and also takes him into custody for deliberately insulting officials. With the help of the android's talents, Majer can defuse the bomb that is in the police station's beer vending machine and finally also fulfill his Dravanian mission: he transmits the woman and shortly afterwards Nägelein stumbles very slowly out of his sooty apartment
Quite simply, if you can The upper council is planning a celebration on the occasion of his 13th arrest in 20 years of service. But he doesn't get his new mixer-kneading machine going and the cake is in danger. When he becomes aware of a man who, without being asked, explains complex devices, situations and processes in an understandable way, the senior councilor instructs Majer and Heinmann to arrest him. It is possible to corner the person explaining in a bar, but the wanted man makes surprising martial arts movements, explains himself how to use a police weapon and can escape. However, when he wanted to explain the function of a toy locomotive to the participants of the meeting of the model railroad association in 1888 and instead eats the chassis, the senior council slammed and proposed his 14th arrest. Majer now suspects that it is a control android, which also has a malfunction, which can be attributed to the fact that these models are built into the chassis of dangerous battle droids. Nevertheless, he succeeds in luring the operating android into his apartment, where it transmits itself by way of explanation.
The glasses on the neck Just after Airavab Reileta reprimanded him for his negligent attitude towards service, Majer notices that IZ is suffering from a strange disease that can be traced back to sunspots , and that it limits her abilities. Nägelein, who overheard this conversation, went to the senior councilor shortly afterwards and reported the impressions he had gathered about Majer over two years, which made the senior councilor suspect that his best official was hiding something. He makes contact with the glasses , a legendary investigator who clings to Majer's trail in various disguises. Meanwhile, Majer sets off on his own without IZ's valuable information on the search for the next android to be transmitted, which, according to the ultimatum of his superiors, gives him 30 time units. He quickly catches the eye of a travel agent who got caught in the net during a veil manhunt , which he persuaded his colleague Bracke to do. While Majer IZ briefly transmits a secret line to a Dravanian engineer for an investigation, his glasses are watching him. Meanwhile, Nägelein pushes Majer's transmitter, which he has seized from the unsuspecting man's apartment, into the police station. While the caretaker is playing around with the buttons on the transmitter, he happens to transmit the glasses , which, since the glasses are actually an android, results in a discharge of energy that affects not only the police station, but also Nägelein's television set.
Knattersmann or Ripp Majer receives a largely incomprehensible tape message, which reveals to him that he belongs to the secret service and should report to a code breaker with a variant of the first line of Friedrich Schiller's ballad The Diver if the meaning of the secret message was unclear to him. At the code breaker's place of residence, Majer first rings the wrong doorbell, but the woman who lives there slams the door in front of him. Eventually he finds the code breaker and learns that he is about to be kidnapped. The headquarters of the secret service finally turns out to be the police station and the senior councilor, who also functions as a privy councilor, instructs Majer to convince the opposing agent Tamara Zeteskaja, alias Agent 0481, to overflow. In the meantime, Majer - inspired by some pointed remarks from IZ - has found out that behind the code breaker, who serves the secret service as Agent Jedermann , is a decryption droid. After successfully defending himself against another kidnapping attempt by Tamara Zeteskaja's employees, who disguise themselves as a string quartet, Majer brings the enemy agent and the code breaker into his apartment. While turning Tamara over with the help of lipstick and hair set, Majer transfers the android back to the moon base.
