Erhard Hartmann (born July 24, 1957 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Hartmann was a member of the Vienna Boys' Choir , later studied drums and piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts and completed the Max Reinhardt Seminar . After engagements at the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Linz State Theater and the Salzburg Festival , he went to Germany. He played at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and the Landestheater Memmingen , among others . After that, Munich became his adopted home. He was hired for television series, acted in the theater and began his career as a voice actor. He started his international career with the film productions The Woman with the Red Hat (1984) and War and Remembrance (1988).

In 2004 Gerald Pichowetz brought him back to Vienna and he played Wargrave in Agatha Christie's 10 little negroes in the Gloria Theater . In 2006 Hartmann played the leading role in the 13-part ORF series Kupetzky , for which David Schalko had provided the material . In the play Böheimkirchen Euphorie , which was also written by Schalko, he played Uncle Carlos, who had kidney disease. The play premiered in April 2006 at the Rabenhof Theater Vienna.
