The Gloria-Theater is a private theater in Vienna's 21st district of Floridsdorf , in which, in addition to entertainment theater , other art forms are taught. The program primarily features comedies , tabloids and singing games .

The theater has around 550 seats. It is played on three stages; the Gloria Theater with 248 seats and 1 wheelchair space, the Gloria Cabaret with 115 seats and 1 wheelchair space and the Gloria Varieté with 185 seats and 2 wheelchair spaces. There is also a children's theater.

A gallery has been housed in the theater foyer since 2002, the Gloria Gallery. The first exhibition in April 2002 showed pictures by Wolfgang Hutter .

In October 2011 the Gloria Theater celebrated its tenth anniversary. In the course of this, Peter Lodynski and Hilde Rom were honored as Doyen and Doyenne des Glorias in November .

history

The Gloria Theater is located at 9 Prager Straße in the premises of the former Gloria Cinema. The opening took place on October 10, 2001 with the play "They should have seen me", which was Heinz Horak's last theater production . In this production, Johanna Matz , Hilli Reschl , Günther Frank and Gerald Pichowetz , the director of the theater, participated.
