Caroline Vasicek

Caroline Vasicek , (born August 19, 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress and musical artist .

Education and career

She completed her training in dance, drama and musicals in Vienna (in the dance-singing studio Theater an der Wien by Peter Weck ). At the age of ten she stood on the boards that mean the world for the first time and received her first leading role at the age of twelve. She was the narrator in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat , in which she performed in Austria and Hungary . She later appeared as Fanny in the musicals Elisabeth ( Theater an der Wien ) and Sandy Grease ( Vienna Raimundtheater ). With the title role of Belle in the world premiere of the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast (1995-1997) she achieved her final breakthrough.

Now she has also been discovered by the film and played the main female role of Elena Kolotschewa in Franz Antels Der Bockerer II - Austria is free , which conquered the top of the cinema charts. She made her second film with Charles Aznavour , Wedding in Vienna , Vienna and France .

She then went on a European tour with the Disney Fantasy Musical Gala . She then played the role of Sandy in the musical Grease again until the beginning of 1999 , this time not in Vienna, but in Düsseldorf and in the Berlin premiere at the Theater des Westens . She sang the leading female role in the two Disney films Arielle, the Mermaid (Austrian version) and Mulan .

In the role of Nannerl , Mozart's sister, she was on stage in her first world premiere - in the musical Mozart in the Theater an der Wien .

The shooting for her next film role in Der Bockerer III - Die Brücke von Andau followed, which premiered in March 2000. In between she was in an episode of the TV series Medicopter 117 and in 2003 she shot again under the direction of Franz Antel, Bockerer IV.

This was followed in August 2001 in Cologne, the role of Stephanie in Saturday Night Fever . When she returned to Vienna from August to November 2002, she was Sally in Me and My Girl in Baden near Vienna .

From autumn 2003 she could be seen in the play By Candlelight in the Theater in der Josefstadt .

In December 2003 she was on stage in Musical Christmas in Vienna at the Raimund Theater. a. André Bauer , Jesper Tydén , Carin Filipčić , Jasmina Sakr , Dennis Kozeluh . Alexander Goebel led through the evening .

In 2007 she played and sang in the musical Dracula by Frank Wildhorn (in Graz, together with Thomas Borchert and Uwe Kröger, among others ) the role of Lucy Westenra.

In October 2008 she released a children's song CD and a book. Her three-year-old daughter Marvie had suggested it after she had always sung the songs her own father had written for her at the same age. This is how the CD and the book of the same name I dream of a children's world came about . The songs were arranged by Christian Kolonovits and Ruth Brauer-Kvam illustrated the book. She presented both in the smalltalk kidscafé in Vienna .

In 2008 she was on stage at the Wiener Kammerspiele in the plays Othello mustn't burst and Im Weißen Rössl .
