The shy Vinzenz von Raupenstrauch is in firm hands - in those of his mother and aunt - when he meets the girl Stupsi in a bar. It is high time for the well-off chocolate manufacturer to find a bride. Stupsi, on the other hand, who works in the "oldest trade in the world" and has no inkling of her intended role as a bride, is now introduced to the von Raupenstrauch family by Vincent. His mother Leopoldine von Raupenstrauch and the quirky Aunt Fini are immediately enraptured by Stupsi's down-to-earth liveliness and, in ignorance of their work, immediately forge marriage plans. But Stupsi herself is not at all comfortable with the friendliness with which she is received. And Stupsi's colleagues Dorli, Mirli and Puppi also suspect something bad, especially since all sorts of family secrets are gradually being revealed, which Stupsi and her friends want to get to the bottom of.
