Achim Strietzel (born October 9, 1926 in Berlin ; † November 27, 1989 in Munich ) was a German actor and cabaret artist .

biography

From 1942 to 1944 Strietzel attended the Berlin Theater School of the State Theaters, where he finally passed his stage maturity examination with Paul Bildt . He then worked in Berlin as a stage actor, including at the Hebbel Theater . In 1951 Strietzel joined the ensemble of the political-satirical cabaret Die Stachelschweine , of which he was a member until 1969. In 1969 he moved to the ensemble of the literary-political cabaret Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft , where he replaced the departing Hans Jürgen Diedrich . Strietzel excelled here in particular with his parodies of the then Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt . After the Lach- und Schießgesellschaft was dissolved in 1972, he continued to work as a cabaret imitator, for example for Rudi's Tagesshow , and gave guest performances as a theater actor in Frankfurt am Main and Salzburg.

From 1953 Strietzel was also known to a nationwide audience through appearances in film and television. At first he appeared mainly in television performances of the porcupines ( Oh, you dear freedom! ), But from the late 1950s onwards he was also seen as an actor in different genres of cinema and television. In addition to his cabaret colleague Jo Herbst, he played in the satire Der Hauptmann und seine Held , in Wolfgang Neuss 'socially critical comedy Comrade Münchhausen , in the Edgar Wallace crime film Der Bucklige von Soho , Franz Seitz ' school clothes Zum Teufel mit der Penne , the crime comedy The Gentlemen with the White Waistcoat , Volker Schlöndorff's Böll adaptation The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum , as an authorized signatory in the Kafka film The Metamorphosis and Egon Monk's Nazi drama The Oppermann siblings based on Lion Feuchtwanger 's novel of the same name . In 1975 he was seen together with Dieter Hildebrandt in the cabaret television series How do I treat my boss? . He also had guest appearances in television series such as Stahlnetz , Derrick , Berliner Weisse mit Schuß and Drei Damen vom Grill . In the ARD pre-evening series Der Andro-Jäger , a German version of the American television series Invasion von der Wega (with Roy Thinnes ), Strietzel played the unsuspecting superior of the extraterrestrial "Andro-Jäger" ( Lutz Mackensy ) for two years .

In addition, he also worked extensively as a speaker for radio play productions, e.g. B. Captain Blitz and his friends , Röntgenaugen (as "Augen" doctor, WDR 1979) and RUR ( BR / RIAS 1978). As a voice actor, he lent his voice a. a. Jamie Farr ( The Seed of Violence ), Paul Lynde ( Spy in Lace Panties ), Kenneth Mars ( The Hot Trail ) and the vulture "Ziggy" in Walt Disney's Jungle Book .

Achim Strietzel died of a heart attack in 1989 at the age of 63 . He was buried in the New South Cemetery in Munich. The tomb no longer exists today.

His daughter Daniela Strietzel also works as an actress.
