Ilse Zielstorff

Ilse Zielstorff (born September 30, 1935 in Berlin ; † May 2015 in Munich ) was a German actress .

Live and act

Ilse Zielstorff received her artistic training from Helmuth Gmelin in Hamburg . Her first engagement took her to Lüneburg in 1951 . In 1952 she moved to Detmold for one season , and in 1953 to Hanover for another . In the season 1954/55 the Berliner worked at the theater in Kiel , from 1957 to 1959 at the city theater of Bern . Then she went to the National Theater in Mannheim . In later years Ilse Zielstorff worked as a freelancer.

In addition to roles in various radio play productions, Zielstorff gained notoriety primarily through guest roles in television series such as Ida Rogalski , lawyer Abel or Alle meine Töchter . Critics praised her portrayal of Margot Honecker in Hans-Christoph Blumenberg's docu-drama Deutschlandspiel .

From 1968 until her death in May 2015 she was married to the actor Rolf Schimpf ; the couple had lived in Munich since 1974 and in the Augustinum senior citizens' home in Munich-Neufriedenheim since the beginning of June 2010. She died of complications from dementia.
