The private detective Slim Callaghan , played by Viktor de Kowa , runs a renowned detective agency in Munich. Originally from Canada, he primarily works for the insurance industry, for which he procures valuables. He is supported by his secretary Steffie, played by Eva Pflug . His excellent contacts with the local police, especially with criminal inspector Dallmüller (played by Helmuth Rudolph ), help him.
