Paul Grupp
Paul Grupp (born June 16, 1904 in Munich ; † March 15, 1974 there ) was a German cameraman .
biography
Grupp had attended an elementary school and a technical school. He then trained as a camera mechanic and began his cinematic work in 1931 as a camera assistant. In this position he photographed the films Der Katzensteg (1937), Frau Sixta (1938), Thirteen Man and a Cannon (1938), The Poor Millionaire (1939), Gold in New Frisco ( in the service of Munich Bavaria since 1938 ). 1939), Liberated Hands (1939), The Sinful Village (1940), The Fraulein von Barnhelm (1940), The Seventh Boy (1940), Peterle (1942) and The Chaste Sinner (1943).
In 1948 he continued his work as a camera assistant in Helmut Käutner's contemporary satirical production The apple is from . But the Munich resident was only able to take pictures of mostly short documentaries and largely undemanding entertainment films, as were common in the Adenauer era.
In the 1960s, Grupp found work almost exclusively in documentary and television films. For example, in 1965 he was behind the camera for the ZDF action series Alarm in der Berge .
