Eva Pflug (born June 12, 1929 in Leipzig ; † August 5, 2008 in Grünwald ) was a German actress and voice actress .

Life

Eva Pflug, born in Leipzig in 1929, was the daughter of the goldsmith Walter Pflug and his wife Gertrud Pflug (née Thäle). Eva Pflug began her stage career in 1947 in her hometown of Leipzig. After her first feature film Der Rat der Götter (1950), she worked alongside Curd Jürgens in Helmut Käutner's Der Schinderhannes in 1958 . Pflug then achieved greater attention with the first Edgar Wallace film of the post-war period, The Frog with the Mask (1959). In it she sang the wicked night club singer composed by Karl Bette Nachts im Nebel an der Thames (Text: Theo Maria Werner and Hans Billian ). However, you couldn't hear her own voice, it was dubbed by an unnamed singer . Three years later plow was then in the legendary Durbridge - Street Sweeper The kerchief to see (1962). During this time she played the female lead in several classics. These included Gretchen in Goethe's Faust and Marthe Rull in Kleist's Der zerbrochne Krug . In 1986 she was awarded the Bad Hersfeld Grand Prize ( Bad Hersfeld Festival ) for her role in Brecht's mother Courage . She also starred in Shaw's Saint Joan as well as in the Shakespeare plays A Midsummer Night's Dream and What You Want .

Between 1980 and 1985 she appeared on stage around 700 times with Paul Hubschmid in tabloid comedies. Her dubbing voice also became famous for Julie Christie ( Dr. Schiwago ), Ursula Andress , Anne Bancroft ( The Maturity Exam ) , Eva Marie Saint in Hitchcock's The Invisible Third and Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester) in the series Reich und Schön .

On August 5, 2008, Eva Pflug was found dead in her apartment. Heart failure was suspected to be the cause of death . She was buried in a small group at the Grünwald forest cemetery.
