Hessian stories was a television series of the ZDF .
Each episode consisted of several self-contained, entertaining stories, each tailored to the main actor Günter Strack . Strack embodied various "Hessian originals" that are portrayed as kind, witty and persistent.
For example, he plays a craftsman who lets customers do the work for them, a bank manager who outsmarts a burglar, or a waiter who has taken the last surviving trout in a restaurant and tries with all possible means, the guests from ordering trout.
Guest stars
Many well-known German actors were seen in supporting roles in the series. These included Ruth-Maria Kubitschek , Walter Renneisen , Evelyn Hamann , Hans Clarin , Eddi Arent , Lutz Mackensy , Peer Augustinski , Diether Krebs , Sascha Hehn , Walter Buschhoff and Gert Haucke .
