Werner Asam (born October 17, 1944 in Mallersdorf ) is a German folk actor and director .

Life

Asam has appeared in numerous film and television roles since the mid-1970s. He became known through his appearances in TV series such as Der Bulle von Tölz , Kir Royal , Polizeiinspektion 1 , Der Alte , Der Millionbauer , Die Wiesingers , Heidi and Erni , Forsthaus Falkenau , Derrick or the series Tatort . In 1980 he worked on the Fassbinder film adaptation of Berlin Alexanderplatz . He made his first appearance in the series Forsthaus Falkenau in 1995, and from 1997 to 2010 he played the role of the farmer Kreidtmayr . In the 1990s, Asam began to make a name for himself as a director and writer of plays by the comedy nobility. In 2008 he was appointed to the Munich tower scribe, in 2016 he was awarded the Bavarian Poet Thaler .
