action

Village policeman Horst Krause is currently carrying out a speed check which, of all people, Rudi Weißglut, the friend of Krause's sister Meta, who regularly brings Krause to despair with his brash manner. Weißglut, who lives in Cologne, is once again visiting tranquil Schönhorst.

Immediately after Rudi's arrival things go haywire. Rudi wants to marry Meta and that's not enough, Meta wants to move to Rudi in Cologne. Of course, an absurdity for Krause, who has never been separated from his sisters Meta and Elsa. There is a dispute between the siblings, which means that Horst and Elsa even want to close the traditional inn. Krause's last hope is Fine, the daughter of Gänsebauer Schlunzke. She is supposed to take Meta's place in the inn, but just now wants to travel to the USA after graduating from school and gives Horst and father Schlunzke a basket at the airport.

Now the Gasthof Krause seems to be history and Horst begins to accept the wedding for better or for worse. As Meta and Rudi are just saying yes, Fine suddenly appears again, who got cold feet and now wants to stay in Schönhorst.

When Meta and Rudi notice that they have been cheated out of 5000 euros by a ship organizer who was supposed to organize the wedding party and that no ship appears at the pier, the wedding party threatens to turn into a fiasco, but Horst unceremoniously redirects the entire wedding party to his yard, where people set up, drink, eat, sing and dance spontaneously. After a great party everyone is happy and satisfied and one last attempt by Elsa to prevent Sister Meta's departure fails. After all, taxi drivers Rudi and Meta drive to Cologne the next morning and Fine is now replacing Meta at the Krause inn.

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv judged the film: “In 'Krause Bride', what is being told concentrates even more than before on the internal communication between the three siblings. The external action, including subplots, is kept within limits, feelings are lived out all the more excessively: exuberance, disappointment, melancholy, inner contemplation. [...] The three are more thoughtful, their insights are more existential than in the previous films [...] [and various] situations [...] underpin the melancholy tone of the three main characters with dry comedy. "

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm pointed with their thumbs to the right and said: "The rustic gibberish seems to be trying to be comical in places." Conclusion: "Somewhat flat farce with many weird guys."
