occupation

Krause Hope is a film comedy from 2019 and the sixth film by director and author Bernd Böhlich in the film series about the retired police chief Krause , who is played by actor Horst Krause under his real name.

action

The former police chief Horst Krause is overtaken by a fire truck on the way home. There is a fire in the kitchen of his inn because his forgetful sister Elsa left a pan on the stove. Elsa has also forgotten that Krause's friend Schlunzke died after falling from the ladder and who her sister Meta is married to. She can no longer cook for the inn like this. Krause is very worried, but initially refuses the help of the young cook Paula because he does not want to take care of her little son. He calls Meta and Rudi to help, but Rudi accidentally wrecks Krause's motorcycle the first time it is used. To distract Krause, Meta travels with him and Elsa to their old homeland in Pomerania, where the old love between Elsa and their former neighbor Lubo Kaczmarek is rekindled. Upon returning home, it becomes clear why Meta had proposed the trip: Rudi has meanwhile offered the inn for lease so that a Greek wants to move in there. Full of anger, Krause drives off with Rudi's mobile home and ends up on a campsite, where the cook Paula and her son are struggling to make a living. Krause hires Paula for his inn, Rudi organizes an open-air cinema evening - and finally Krause also brings Lubo Kaczmarek to Schönhorst.

background

ARD first broadcast the film on February 1, 2019, a Friday evening, at 8.15 p.m. It is the first production in the film series without Andreas Schmidt . The actor, who was last seen in Krauses Glück (2016) as Krause's best friend Schlunzke, died in September 2017.

criticism

Wilfried Geldner from Prisma "is amazed at the daring deceleration that is rampant here in the restoration of home."
