Werner Daehn

Werner Daehn (born October 14, 1967 in Worms am Rhein ) is a German actor .

Life

Werner Daehn grew up in Worms and attended the Rudi-Stephan-Gymnasium . After finishing school, he moved to Berlin, where he completed a four-year training course at the Langhanke drama school. After various theater engagements a. a. In 1996 he played in his first German movie Nur aus Liebe at the side of Heinz Hoenig and Katja Riemann .

Career

After various other German productions, he achieved great international success in 2002 with xXx - Triple X as a chain-smoking sniper and opponent of Vin Diesel . For director Stefan Ruzowitzky he starred in 2006 in Vienna and Berlin as Rosenthal in the Oscar- winning film Die Fälscher . After that he played in many other international productions a. a. with Steven Seagal ( Shadow Man - Courier of Death ), Jason Priestley ( Colditz - Escape to Freedom ) or Bill Pullman ( Revelations - The Revelation ). In 2008 he shot as Major Ernst John von Freyend in a key role with Tom Cruise Operation Walküre - The Stauffenberg Assassination . Since Freyend interfered with Stauffenberg while preparing the bomb, the attack did not succeed. He was u. a. Also seen as a Stasi officer in the Oscar-winning film The Lives of Others . In the remake of the Hitchcock classic The 39 Steps for the BBC , he played the role of the antagonist "Ackerman".
