action
season 1
The police college students Inka Kubicki, Ann-Christine "AC" Heffner, Kilian Hirschfeld and Marc Abel are completing their first summer semester at the police college in Halle an der Saale . The four happened to witness a murder and were allowed to contribute to the investigation of the case. By doing this, they hope to be able to complete their internship in the homicide squad.
During the solemn announcement of the distribution of the practice positions that Inka, AC, Kilian and Marc will receive, the dean of the police college, Daniel Goldenbogen, is found slain in his office. The police student Leonie Ruska quickly comes under suspicion because she had a secret affair with the dean. Inka, who is Leonie's best friend, believes in her innocence, although the murder weapon is found in Leonie's car. Then Leonie goes into hiding until she later finds shelter again with Inka. There she is discovered by Marc, who is also drawn into the murder case. Leonie believes that the criminal psychologist Julia Salomon murdered Daniel and wants to set a trap for her. However, she is arrested by Sami Malouf, the head of the homicide squad, and taken into custody.
Inca's secrets and belief in Leonie's innocence weigh on her relationship with Kilian. For this reason she lets him know that Leonie is with her. Kilian wants to stick this to Sami Malouf, but the latter has already arrested Leonie. That's why Inka separates from him, and the friendship with Marc also breaks up, as Kilian gives a reporter sensitive information from the Abel family. Sami pulls Inka off the case and transfers it to AC. Together with Julia, she finds out that Daniel's sister Helene never arrived in Australia. In addition, on his last vacation Daniel was not in Greece as told, but in Australia. The investigations reveal that Helene was also murdered and that a stranger wanted to let the friends Julia, Sami, Pierre and Daniel believe that she was still alive. This proves Leonie's innocence because she did not know Daniel at the time of the murder, and she is released from custody. Leonie also confesses to Inka that shortly before Daniel's death she cut his brake line out of anger. This shocks Inka very much and she questions her friendship with Leonie.
After a night of partying, AC is supposed to search Daniel's house for clues with Julia and Pierre. The two women come across a clue that Pierre could be the murderer. When he notices this, he confesses to Julia what he has done. At the time he wanted to prove to his wife Helene that there was more to him than she saw in him. That's why he sent explosive pictures to a building contractor who was able to purchase a piece of property. When Helene found out, she confronted him with it. Not wanting to destroy his career, Pierre killed his wife. When Daniel told him that he was looking for his sister and that he was surprised that Helene only called him at the time and not the other friends, he killed him. When Leonie showed up in Daniel's office a short time later and found him dead on the floor, Pierre found this to be the solution to his problem, and he blamed the police student for the murder. After overpowering AC and Julia, Pierre tries to escape with Daniel's car. Sami wants to warn him about the defective brakes, but Pierre is already racing towards him. Kilian saves Sami's life, but is run over and in danger of death. Pierre is arrested for the murder of Daniel and Helene. It remains unclear whether Kilian will survive.
season 2
The archive manager Ulla Nowak is in trouble. Jupiter overhears Ulla asking for money from his father, while Killian sees Ulla and Justus arguing. A short time later, a corpse is discovered in the university's archive. Ulla's partner, Lysanne, quickly comes under suspicion.
Killian fights for his relationship with Inka and realizes that his substitute Robert has an eye on AC.
