Larissa Antonia Marolt (born July 10, 1992 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian model . She became known as the winner of the first season of the casting show Austria’s Next Top Model in 2009 and also works as an actress .

Private life

Marolt was born as the second of four children to the hotelier and former FPÖ politician Heinz Anton Marolt and his wife Elke. She grew up in St. Kanzian on Lake Klopein . As a 14-year-old she was active in the youth theater club of the Klagenfurt City Theater , where she was discovered as a model. From 2011 to 2016 she was in a relationship with the American filmmaker Whitney Sudler-Smith.

Career

Career as a model

In February 2009 she won the first season of the casting show Austria’s Next Top Model and received a contract with the Wiener Models agency. She qualified for the fourth season of Germany's Next Topmodel , in which she took eighth place. She received a contract with ONEeins Management, a subsidiary of Heidi Klum GmbH. In June 2014 she ended the collaboration. In 2013, she walked the catwalk as a model at four shows at New York Fashion Week .

In February 2014 she graced the cover of the Austrian women's magazine Madonna for the third time . In March 2014 she was booked as a model for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Istanbul . In May 2014 she modeled in Cologne for the fashion label Garcon F by Florian Wess . At the Berlin Fashion Week in the same year she walked the catwalk for the fashion label Minx by Eva Lutz. At the Berlin Fashion Week in January 2016, she ran as a model for the fashion label Sportalm and Riani as well as for the fashion designer Rebekka Ruez. It also ran for Riani at Berlin Fashion Week in June 2016.

Career as a television actress and actress

In November 2009, Marolt had her first acting role with a guest appearance in the Sat.1 daily soap " One like no one" . From January 2010 she was seen in the docu-soap Die Model-WG on ProSieben , but left the WG in favor of her school education in the second episode. After passing the Matura at St. Ursula Gymnasium in Klagenfurt in 2010, she was accepted at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York City , where she studied from 2011 to 2013. From February to August 2011 she played the supporting role of Maxi König in the Sat.1 telenovela Anna und die Liebe in 128 episodes .

In January and February 2014 she took part in the German reality show Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! from RTL and took second place there. With eight participations in a row in the so-called "jungle tests", she was the record holder for five years in a comparison of all international adaptations of the format ( I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! ) . On February 8, 2014, she received the “Special Lindwurm Award” from the Mayor of Klagenfurt, Christian Scheider .

In 2013 she stood for her first feature film, the Austrian dance film Rise Up! And Dance by Barbara Gräftner , in front of the camera. She played a supporting role in it. The film premiered on March 11, 2014 in Vienna. Also in 2014 she took part in the RTL show Let's Dance and took fourth place with her dance partner Massimo Sinató . In April 2014, she was awarded a Romy for “Most Exciting TV Minutes”.

On June 17, 2014, she was awarded the “New Face Award” at the Leading Ladies Awards of Madonna magazine in Vienna . On July 18, 2014, she received a "Walk-of-Fame" star on the lake promenade in St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See. In August 2014 she was on the show Schlag die Star , in which she was defeated by Annica Hansen .

In the 6th season of Austria's Next Top Model, she acted as a mentor . In addition, she was part of the jury in the fourth season of the Austrian casting show Die Große Chance, alongside Oliver Pocher , Petra Frey and Peter Rapp . She took on the same function in the show offshoot Die Große Chance der Chöre . In the SOKO-5113 episode The Dumb Servant (2015) she played the role of a maid . In 2015 she played the role of a player woman in Alarm for Cobra 11 . In the two-part documentary soap Larissa goes to Hollywood , which was broadcast on April 25 and May 2, 2015, the TV broadcaster RTL accompanied her to various television engagements in Germany and Austria as well as to model and actor castings in the USA. In 2017 Marolt was a candidate for Global Gladiators .

Together with Sebastian Fischer and Dieter Bach , Marolt was the main actress in the 14th season of the ARD telenovela Sturm der Liebe . In it she played the role of doctor Alicia Lindbergh from August 14, 2017 to October 18, 2018 . In March 2019, she appeared again in this role as a guest actress in six episodes.

In autumn 2018 she played the role of Buhlschaft at the side of Wolfgang Bahro , Max Schautzer and Timothy Peach in the play Jedermann by Hugo von Hofmannsthal in the Nikolaikirche in Potsdam . From June to September 2019, Marolt plays Tiffany O'Toole in the production Unter Vultures - The Bear Hunters Son at the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg .

Since January 2020 Marolt has played the role of the police student Leonie Ruska in the ZDF early evening series Bloody Beginners .
