Salvatore Greco (born January 28, 1980 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor with Italian roots.

Life

Salvatore Greco is the son of Italian emigrants and was born in Switzerland. He grew up bilingual (German and Italian). After graduating from high school, Greco began training as an actor in Zurich in 2001. He has trained in dance (Latin American), martial arts (Swiss champion 2000 Qwan Khi Dao) and athletics.

Greco received his first engagements as “Archangel Michael” and “Tischgesellschaft” alongside Maria Becker and her son Benedict Freitag in the play “Jedermann” by Hugo von Hoffmansthal during his acting training in Zurich . After graduating, Salvatore Greco received his first TV role “Five Star Guys Inclusive” from Vivian Naefe . Various formats and roles for Swiss television and cinema productions followed, and Greco remained loyal to the theater stage. During this time he played alongside Marco Rima , Mike Müller , Leonardo Nigro and other Swiss greats such as Isabelle von Siebenthal.

Greco left Switzerland in 2009 to further refine his craft. His acting training ranged from the Giles Foreman Center for Acting in London to the Stella Adler Studio of Acting (New York).

In 2012 it achieved a wide reach on television in Germany. This resulted in various projects for broadcasters such as ZDF, ARD and RTL. Among other things, he interpreted the main commissioner Battiato in the ZDF series "Bloody Beginners" as a continuous leading role in 2020. Salvatore Greco pays attention to student and low-budget productions and in 2017 was awarded the Best Short Film award at the MOMO Film Festival for the short film "For the sea, which is a shimmering desert" (director: Simon Helbling).

Greco has been married to actress Juliette Greco since 2013 and has a daughter and a son with her. Salvatore Greco speaks five languages ​​and lives in Switzerland.
