Marco Rima (born April 7, 1961 in Winterthur , Canton of Zurich ) is a Swiss actor , comedian , cabaret artist and producer .

Life

The primary school teacher Marco Rima founded the cabaret duo Marcocello in 1983 together with the lawyer Marcello Weber. In 1992 Marcocello received the platinum record for the «Juhubilé» program. In 1993 the duo separated. Marco Rima wrote and produced the comedy musical Keep Cool in 1992 , in which he also played the lead role. Around 500,000 spectators attended the performances in Switzerland and Germany up to 1996. From 1996 Rima was a member of the weekly show team , with which he also became known in Germany. In particular, the characters he portrayed Grandpa Adolf Frey and Horst Lemminger achieved great popularity. After three years, Rima left the weekly show's ensemble in 1999 to devote himself to other projects.

The comedy musical Hank Hoover , which was performed from 1998 to 2001 and which Rima also produced, saw over 170,000 viewers in Switzerland and Germany. Various solo stage programs followed from 2002 to 2013, including Think Positiv and Humor Sapiens . In 2010 Rima was seen in the multimedia comedy musical The Patients . In addition, Marco Rima worked in the movies, Achtung ,ready Charlie , Handyman and Liebling let's divorce (with Esther Schweins and Mark Keller).

In spring 2008 Rima was again present on German television on Sat.1 with Die Marco Rima Show after a long break .

Rima received the Prix ​​Walo five times in 1993 as the most popular entertainer, in 1994 in the theater / musical category, and in 1999, 2003 and 2005 as the most popular entertainer in the cabaret and comedy category. Rima also appears regularly at the Arosa Humor Festival , for example when it was first held in 1992 with Cabaret Marcocello, and in 2010 and 2011, most recently as a moderator of the TV recordings.

Marco Rima lives with his wife and children in Oberägeri , Canton Zug .
