Jörg Brückner (screenwriter)

Jörg Brückner (* 1958 in Berlin ) is a German screenwriter.

Life

After completing his degree in social and business communication at the University of the Arts, Berlin (diploma), he worked in various PR agencies in Stuttgart and Berlin. He came to screenwriting through his work as a dubbing writer ( Deutsche Synchron ). Starting in 1993, as a writer for Grundy UFA, he initiated the break-off of the daily soap Gute Zeiten, haben Zeiten (GZSZ) from the Australian original The Restless Years . As chief author, he oversaw ongoing projects as well as various new developments ( Unter uns , All together , Behind bars ). He has been a freelance screenwriter since 1997. In 2005, both Unter uns and Bianca - Ways to Happiness were nominated for the German Television Award in the “Best Daily Series” category. In 2006, together with his sister Heike Brückner von Grumbkow, he developed the concept of the daily series Rote Rosen for Multimedia Niedersachsen, originally planned as a telenovela . As head authors, they built up the story and script department together. The 3000th episode was broadcast in 2019. The series Bloody Beginners , which will be broadcast on ZDF from January 2020 , was created in the same constellation .

In 2015, in collaboration with Gerhard Spörl, the film "Der gute Göring" was made, a cinematic double portrait of the unequal brothers Albert and Hermann Göring .

From 1997 to 2003 he worked as a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts. Jörg Brückner lives in Berlin.
