The Shot is a German TV film by Hannu Salonen from 2013 . It is the thirty-first and at the same time the last episode of the ZDF crime film series Rosa Roth with Iris Berben in the title role.

The film begins with a quote from the Greek poet Sophocles :

"All people have one thing in common: to go wrong."

Rosa Roth has to testify in court against the arms dealer Raskow, whom she wanted to have arrested with her evidence in her first case In Love and Death . In addition to the court case, she is investigating Stefan Gruber, who wants to flee his daughter Deborah and extorted ransom from her foster parents Yasemin and Jörg Deinhardt. During a search of Gruber's apartment, Roth's service weapon fires a shot that hits his daughter Deborah. The internal investigation is initiated based on the incident. But Rosa Roth soon realizes that something is wrong. Deborah's foster mother is Raskow's lawyer.
