The Girl from Sumy is a German TV film directed by Carlo Rola from 2009 . It is the twenty-sixth episode of the ZDF crime film series Rosa Roth with Iris Berben in the title role.

action

The student Matthis celebrates his birthday in a game room with his best friends. In the evening, the young people are approached by two Ukrainian prostitutes, Masha and Irina, and they engage in the love game they have bought. They go to a remote parking lot, where Masha is found dead the next day. She died from a mixture of drugs that she appeared to have self-fed after being examined. A homicide is therefore not recognizable for the officers and Commissioner Rosa Roth puts the case on file. Her new colleague Markus Körber does not give up and puts out a manhunt for Irina, the friend of the dead. Rosa Roth only agrees with her colleague that it was murder when Matthis is pushed in front of a train. His classmates and friends, Nathalie and Sven, remain silent.
