Till Butterbach (* 1979 in Berlin-Kreuzberg ) is a German actor .

Life

Till Butterbach studied film directing at filmArche eV from 2006 to 2010. In addition to his studies, he already played leading roles in over 300 performances as a permanent member of the ensemble of the Woesner Brothers Theater Summer (2006 to 2011). First TV and cinema appearances followed. In 2008 Till Butterbach played his first leading role in a feature film in Human Capital by Diemo Kemmesies.

In 2009 he was a participant in the Berlinale Talent Campus . Till Butterbach became known to a larger television audience in 2010 through his ensemble role Heinrich Menz with Anna und die Liebe . Guest roles in cult films such as Klappe Cowboy , uppe, Icke & der Dicke , Little Thirteen and Rattenkönig introduced him to the German Arthaus and independent audiences. In 2015 he played the leading role in the ensemble Charlie in Das Floß! , Julia C. Kaiser's feature film debut. For his leading role Hans in Die Hannas ( Tellfilm for BR / SR / SWR / Arte ), the second feature film by Julia C. Kaiser, Till Butterbach was honored as Best Actor at the 13th achtung berlin - new berlin film award.

He is the great-nephew of the Berlin-based Brecht actress Renate Keith and great-grandson of the Berlin architect, government builder and chief building officer Bruno Carl Franz Jautschus (* 1869 in Königsberg (East Prussia) ).
