Sandra Freiin von Ruffin (born December 2, 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German actress .

Life

Sandra von Ruffin is the second of the two daughters of the singer Vicky Leandros and Enno Freiherr von Ruffin. Her older sister is Milana Freifrau von Ruffin. The two have an older half-brother from their mother's first marriage. Her grandfather is the former Greek pop singer Leo Leandros , who became known in Germany in the 1950s with German-language songs. She spent childhood and adolescence at Gut Basthorst in Schleswig-Holstein , at the age of 16 she went to England and did her Abitur there . After returning to Germany, von Ruffin studied modern and contemporary history , art history and cultural studies at the Berlin Humboldt University . In 2011 he graduated with a master's degree .

After taking acting classes during her studies, von Ruffin returned to England in 2011 and continued her education at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art . Since then she has mainly worked as a film and television actress. In 2009 she made her debut in an episode of SOKO Wismar . After further guest roles in other series, she portrayed the Jewish high jumper Gretel Bergmann in the documentary drama The Dream of Olympia - The Nazi Games from 1936 .

In 2016, Sandra von Ruffin was Vice-Director of the first Greek film festival in Berlin, Hellas Filmbox , initiated by Asteris Koutoulas and Ina Kutulas , and she was Festival Director of the second edition in 2017. She has sailing, hunting and gun licenses and speaks German, English and Greek .
