Kerstin Reimann

Kerstin Reimann (* 1960 in Leipzig ) is a German actress .

Life

Reimann is a trained teacher . From 1979 to 1984 she studied pedagogy at the "Karl Liebknecht" college of education in Potsdam , where she obtained a university degree as a qualified sports teacher (with a focus on athletics , swimming ). Before she got into acting, she worked as a teacher. She completed her acting training from 1987 to 1990 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

Reimann had theater engagements at the Anklam Theater (1995; as May in Fool for love , director: Torsten Münchow ), at the Schauspielhaus Magdeburg (2000; as Iokaste / Carolyn in the German-language premiere of the Woody Allen play Geliebte Aphrodite , director: Lutz Hübner ) and in the Opernpalais "Unter den Linden" in Berlin (2007; as "Sie" in the tabloid comedy Zu dir oder zu mir , directed by Hagen Henning ). She also made guest appearances in Berlin in various productions of the cabaret Die Kneifzange and in programs at the Admiralspalast .

In 1995 she started working for film and television. In her first leading role she played the emergency doctor Dr. Ria Mewes in the RTL series Emergency Room (1995). Since then she has been seen on television in a very diverse range of roles. In the film comedy Freundinnen & other Monster (1998) she played the mother of the main female character Katja ( Wolke Hegenbarth ). In the movie The Flying Classroom (2003) she played the role of Ms. Thaler; she embodied the mother of the student Martin Thaler. In the television film In Liebe eine Eins (2005), in which Anna Loos played a single mother who can neither read nor write and who fights for custody of her son, Reimann played the supporting role of the judge Traute Hanisch.

In 2011 and 2014 Reimann appeared as the “sovereign secretary” Gudrun Kramer in the television films Ein Fall von Liebe: Saubermänner (2011) and Ein Fall von Liebe - Anna's Baby (2014). She was the loyal office manager of the lawyer Dr. Florian Faber ( Francis Fulton-Smith ). Her role was played in the first film in the series Ein Fall von Liebe (2009) by Susanne Bentzien . In the ZDF - Documentary Casanova - The Art of Seduction Reimann represented the French actress Silvia Balletti.

Reimann also had episode roles in the series Heiter bis tödlich: Alles Klara (2012, as Elisabeth Stahlmann, wife of the murdered businessman Günter Stahlmann), Heiter bis tödlich: Akt Ex (2012; as Vera Philippi, mother of the male episode lead Marc Philippi), Der Criminalist (2013; as peace researcher Professor Wieland) and SOKO Wismar (2015; as adoptive mother Sabine Wolf).

Reimann also performs with readings and as a reciter. With the "Rosenau-Ensemble" Baden-Baden and the "Fairytale Opera Company" Berlin she was a. a. engaged as a guest artist on cruise ships. Since 2009 she has been performing her “Lebenswert Readings”; she is reading from the autobiographical novel Keep Your Heart Ready by the Berlin journalist and author Maxim Leo . She regularly organizes readings for the blind and senior citizens.

Reimann is a lecturer at the DrehBühne drama school in Erkner near Berlin. She works there u. a. with children on film projects (“The clever children's flat share”, “Who kisses Sleeping Beauty?”). She lives in Berlin.
