Thomas Dehler (born October 20, 1961 in Altenburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Thomas Dehler is one of three children of the actor couple Wolfgang Dehler and Wera Paintner . From 1982 to 1986 he studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . After engagements at the Volkstheater Rostock from 1986 to 1991 and at the Freie Kammerspiele Magdeburg from 1991 to 1996, Thomas Dehler worked freelance from 1996 to 2001 with guest contracts in Rostock, Dortmund, Bern and Berlin. From 2001 to 2008 he was permanently engaged at the Schauspiel Leipzig (since 2002 as studio manager) and has been working freelance since 2008.

As a drama teacher, he taught at the University of Music and Theater in Rostock , the Academy of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch" Berlin, the Academy of Music and Theater Bern , the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig , the Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam , the "Mozarteum “Salzburg, the“ Falkenberg School ”Munich and the Theater Academy Saxony .

Since 1986 he has also continuously taken on roles in television films and series (e.g. SOKO Leipzig ).

He speaks the role of rust in the video game Horizon Zero Dawn .

Thomas Dehler lives in Leipzig.
