Wera Paintner (born March 2, 1933 in Leipzig ) is a German actress .

Life

Wera Paintner was born in Leipzig in 1933 as the daughter of the actors and actresses Martin Flörchinger and Ruth Trumpp . At the age of six she made her debut as a child actress on the theater stage before she came to Munich via Bochum and Königsberg. After graduating from high school, she first worked behind the scenes; at Bavaria and UFA in Berlin, before she enrolled in acting at the State Drama School in Berlin-Schöneweide in 1956.

Even during her studies, Paintner worked as a performer at the Volksbühne Berlin ("Theater on the III. Floor"), before theater engagements at the Theater der Junge Welt in Leipzig, the Theater in Altenburg and the Weimar Theater followed from 1958 . In addition, she also worked as a film actress in television productions of the DFF , such as Das Wagnis der Maria Diehl (1957), some Polizeiruf 110 and The Public Prosecutor Has the Word Episodes. Although Wera Paintner has appeared in a large number of films, she almost exclusively embodied rather smaller roles.

In order to be able to earn a living, she worked from 1967 to 1971 as a lecturer at a drama school and then as an occupational and creative therapist in a hospital in Berlin.

Wera Paintner is married for a second time and has three children from her first marriage to the actor Wolfgang Dehler . Their son Thomas Dehler is also an actor.
