Im Sog is a German crime film by Edgar Kaufmann from 1984. The television film was released as the 88th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 .

action

A box with hand drills is stolen from a delivery to a Centrum department store. Warehouse manager is Hans Wendereich, son of Gertrud Wendereich, who runs a home improvement store. However, Hans cannot be proven guilty. In fact, First Lieutenant Jürgen Huebner and First Lieutenant Lutz Zimmermann have to stop the investigation because the case does not appear to be solvable, as there were no traces. The stolen goods have not turned up either. While on vacation with her younger friend Kurt, Gertrud learns that Kurt and his friends Peter Becher and Reiner Karsten have stolen the box. Kurt asserts that he did it for Gertrud's sake. Gertrud does not reveal her boyfriend, especially since she believes that Kurt was just an accomplice. The three friends have decided to leave the goods untouched in Reiner's garden for six months. In addition, they break off contact with one another.

In the six months Reiner met the young Katrin. They become a couple and Katrin is soon pregnant. She wants to marry Reiner. She learns that he has a garden and wants to take action there. Reiner urges his friends to get the hot goods from his garden, but Kurt refuses. The three friends want to meet again for the first time on Gertrud's birthday. Kurt is there, Peter appears, but Reiner is missing. A little later the police find him murdered in the park. He was slain. The police can find traces of blood but have no clue. Peter Becher has an alibi and the blood type does not match. Gertrud and Kurt seem to have nothing to do with the matter, especially since both were hosts of the birthday party.

Gertrud discovers the remains of Reiner's identity card in an oven. Kurt admits that he had an argument with Reiner during Gertrud's birthday party in the basement. Reiner wanted to get out and attacked Kurt with an iron bar. Reiner fell during the scramble and hit his head violently on the edge of the stairs. He died and Kurt secretly took him to the park before returning to celebrate. Kurt protests that Reiner was the head of the gang of thieves. The investigators have Peter shadowed, who visits Kurt. When Kurt even wants to deny any involvement in the robbery in front of Peter, Gertrud leaves the house furious. She later learns from Peter that Kurt was the head of the gang and that Reiner actually only stored the goods in his garden. Gertrud learns from Reiner's mother that Reiner was slain, so the act was not an accident. When Gertrud tries to throw Kurt out of the apartment, he gets angry and Gertrud locks herself in with fear. Investigators have since discovered two things: Kurt's blood type matches the blood found on the body. Kurt had also disappeared for a while during the birthday party, ostensibly to fetch wine from the cellar. There was enough time to get the dead Reiner out of the house. The investigators go to Kurt and arrest him. The door was opened for them by the frightened Gertrud, who asked the investigators for help against Kurt. A little later at the station, Kurt signs the interrogation protocol and then bursts into tears.
