Petra Blossey

Petra Blossey (born June 3, 1956 in Caputh ) is a German actress .

Life

Petra Blossey completed her three-year dance training at the State Ballet School in Berlin in 1976 and worked as a dancer at the Metropol-Theater until 1978 before completing an acting course at the Potsdam-Babelsberg Film Academy . At the same time she appeared at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin in the role of Bianca in the play The White Marriage . This was followed by an engagement from 1982 to 1989 at the Cottbus State Theater , in 1990 at the Potsdam Cabaret and in 1991 she went on tour in Germany with the play Cabaret . In 1993 she played at the women's theater Thea in Potsdam.

She also worked in various film and television productions. She gained her first screen experience in 1975 as an actress in the television film Am I Moses? for the television of the GDR . After a short break, she took part in films again in the 1980s, including in 1981 in the DEFA strip The Hour of Daughters and in 1984 as Anni in Front Without Mercy .

Since November 28, 1994 she was seen as Irene Weigel in the daily soap Unter uns on RTL . In April 2019, she had her last day of shooting at her own request, as the last actress in the original cast. Her role died off-screen on November 28, 2019, exactly 25 years after it was first broadcast on a trip to Japan of a heart attack.

At the beginning of 2015 she was with Tabea Heynig , Alexander Sholti and Benjamin Heinrich at the Celebrity Dinner - Unter Uns special.

Petra Blossey lived in Cologne , but moved back to Potsdam in 2019 , is single and has two children and three siblings.
