Werner Pauli

Werner Pauli (born December 12, 1930 in Berlin ) is a German guitarist , music teacher, arranger and composer .

Life

Pauli studied guitar with Erich citizens , one Henze -Students at the Municipal Conservatory , the 1966 Stern Conservatory of Music Academy Berlin was annexed

In 1953 he became a lecturer at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin . He was later appointed professor of guitar and improvisation . Together with Dieter Rumstig , he had a lasting impact on guitar pedagogy in Berlin. Klaus Feldmann belongs to his group of students . In the 1990s he was the prorector of the music college.

From 1967 to 1970 he went on concert tours with Armin Mueller-Stahl through Europe and Africa. Among other things, he appeared as a companion to the Brecht interpreter Gisela May . Several radio, LP and CD recordings were made. As a film composer he worked for the German series Acting, Polizeiruf 110 and The Public Prosecutor has the floor . He is also the composer of radio plays (including many children's and youth radio plays).

Pauli is the editor of guitar music at Verlag Neue Musik . He also published the German version of Józef Powroźniak's guitar lexicon in 1979 with Adalbert Quadt .
