Marion van de Kamp (born October 24, 1925 in Barmen , (today Wuppertal )) is a German actress and TV announcer .

Life

After a short training at the drama school in Dresden , van de Kamp, who came from a Dutch family, played at the Meininger Theater , then in Görlitz , Plauen , Schwerin and Leipzig . It was here that she was discovered for German television in 1953 and, along with three male colleagues, formed the first permanent television ensemble. Also in 1953 she took over the television announcement together with three other actresses.

She has appeared in numerous television plays , including as Frau Werdenfels in a television adaptation of Frank Wedekind's play The Marquis of Keith . Other important roles were Lady Milford in the DEFA literary adaptation of Cabal and Love (1959) and August the Strong's mistress in Me after, Canailles! (1964). In addition to Armin Mueller-Stahl , she stood in front of the camera in the agent series The invisible visor .

From 1955 to 1991 she was part of the ensemble of the Volksbühne Berlin . In her inaugural role she played the young teacher Nelly in Ulrich Becher's German-American Chronicle Feuerwasser . Since 1991 she has been a permanent guest and partner at the Berlin Theater im Palais .
