Ralph Kretschmar (born February 10, 1980 in Berlin-Friedrichshain ) is a German actor and artist .

Life

Ralph Kretschmar grew up in the former GDR in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg and was a competitive swimmer. He attended the Pierre de Coubertin elite sports school (now SLZB ) in Berlin, where he graduated from high school in 1999. He then completed his military service in the German Armed Forces and studied performing arts at the Fritz Kirchhoff School in Berlin from 2000 to 2004 .

Kretschmar u. a. through his role as computer technician Nils Krüger in the ZDF series Coast Guard . This was followed by leading roles in movies such as Little Paris and the basketball drama Hangtime - No Easy Game, produced by Sönke Wortmann . As the son of Ulrich Tukur , he was seen in the 2017 adaptation of Nele Neuhaus ' novel Die Lebenden und die Toten .

Kretschmar, also active as a composer and songwriter, wrote in 2008 alongside artists such as u. a. Gentleman and the Beatsteaks two songs for the soundtrack of the movie Hangtime - Not an easy game .

Growing up in the border district of Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg in the 80s, a retreat for punks, artists and oppositionists of the GDR regime, Ralph began to deal with art, politics and painting from an early age. In 2018 he published his first works in Berlin under the title The Boy Behind the Wall .

Since 2010, Kretschmar has been the godfather of School Without Racism - School With Courage .
