As the top scorer at the second division basketball team Phoenix Hagen , Vinz has what it takes to be a professional basketball player and is faced with the same decision as his older brother Georg ten years ago: Does he want to switch to the professional camp after graduating from high school? Hangtime is the company's fourth collaboration with screenwriter Christian Zübert , after Lammbock - all handcrafted , the treasure of the white falcons and hardcover . Westdeutsche Rundfunk and Arte participated as co-producers in the film, which is being brought to German cinemas by Dortmund's 3L film distribution company . The Filmstiftung NRW funded the production of the film with 830,748 euros . Vinz 'Club Phoenix Hagen is a real basketball club, whose players also appeared in the film.

Locations

The city of Hagen was primarily used as the location . In addition, some scenes were shot in Frankfurt am Main .
