Dominik Spohr (born April 24, 1989 in Hagen ) is a German basketball player . He has been in the Phoenix Hagen squad (again) since 2017 .

career

Spohr played for BBV Hagen in the first regional league and was in Phoenix Hagen's second division squad from 2006 . With the club he rose to the basketball league in 2009 . He did not get beyond the status of supplementary player at Phoenix.

In 2012 he moved to Bundesliga competitor Gießen 46ers , where he averaged 5.5 points per game in the 2012/13 BBL season. After a year in Giessen, Spohr continued his career in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA at BG Göttingen . In 2014 he became ProA champion with the “Veilchen” and was promoted to the Bundesliga for the second time in his playing career. Before the 2016/17 season he became team captain in Göttingen. In April 2017, Spohr announced that he would be leaving BG at the end of the 2016/17 season. He returned to his hometown and signed a three-year contract with Phoenix Hagen in May 2017, which made a fresh start in the ProA after the first division license was withdrawn during the 2016/17 season. Spohr scored an average of 14.6 points per match during the 2017/18 season, making him the second best thrower from Hagen in the second division game year. In the 2018/19 season he was the best scorer in the Hagen team with 14.2 points per game.

After graduating from high school, he completed an apprenticeship in a bank and then took up distance learning.
