Jette wants to fulfill her aunt Rosalie's last will in Iceland and flies with her urn to the Nordic country. Rosalie emigrated to Iceland with other women in 1949 to face hunger and in the hope of leading a better life. Together with the Icelandic elf commissioner Alrún and the young tour guide Andri, she is looking for a suitable final resting place for her aunt.
