Star Catcher was an early evening series on First .

action

Most of the series takes place in the city of Überlingen on Lake Constance . Paula ( Nora Tschirner ), whose parents were killed in a traffic accident, grew up with her foster parents (friends and business partners of her parents) and her foster brother Nico ( Jochen Schropp ) and worked there as a boat builder. The two are best friends and inseparable, Fred Benz ( Oliver Pocher ) also belongs to their circle of friends. Nico saves Paula's life in a bathing accident and meets and falls in love with Valery ( Florentine Lahme ), who recently moved to Berlin . From then on Paula realizes that she feels more for Nico than just good friendship. This, however, comes together with the self-confident Valery, which hurts Paula very much, even if it doesn't appear to the two of them. Valery, who had to move away from her beloved hometown Berlin because of her mother's new job as artistic director, dreams of a career as an actress despite a lack of interest in her mother's work in the theater. When she screwed up the audition at a Munich drama school, for which she blames her boyfriend Nico, she discovered her true talent as a makeup artist. As Valery and Nico face more and more difficulties and arguments, Paula's need to reveal her true feelings to Nico grows. She seeks support and advice from Fred, who has no experience with women. Fred also has dreams: as a radio host on the local radio station “Freestyle”. When Nico and Valery split up, Paula and Nico get closer again. However, both are afraid that this could break their friendship and that it will never be the same again. Nico is in a quandary - on the one hand he is still drawn to Valery, on the other hand he is developing ever stronger feelings for Paula.
