Stefan Holtz (director)

Stefan Holtz (born October 4, 1973 in Munich ) is a German director and screenwriter . He lives in Munich and is married.

As a student of directing at the University of Television and Film Munich , he directed the short films Interrogator (with Gisa Kümmerling and Nick Dong Sik ) and Operation Bluebird (with Michael Kausch ). This was followed by the films Déja vu with Max von Thun and Doreen Dietel and Das Mädchen Nr. 1 with Max von Thun, Julia Dietze , Katharina Wackernagel , Oliver Wnuk and Kelly Trump .

He directed My Crazy Turkish Wedding , a comedy from 2006 with Florian David Fitz , Mandala Tayde and Katrin Saß . The film was awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize 2007 in the fiction category.

As an author, he wrote the scripts for Peter Thorwarth's films Die Zwei vom Fach (with Doreen Dietel , Hilmi Sözer , Henning Baum ) Bang Boom Bang (with Markus Knüfken , Oliver Korittke , Alexandra Neldel ) for Dennis Gansel's Living Dead (with Iris Berben , Klaus J. Behrendt , Katharina Böhm ) and numerous consequences on the beach clique , Sternenfänger , the medical examiner , Two Fronts and the smart ones .
